Kansas City played a 70 minute game against San Lorenzo today making only one substitution. KC won 3-0 over San Lorenzo. The lineup was made up of players that have been starting off games: Hartman, Jewsbury, Conrad, Wahl, Myers, Zavagnin, Marinelli, Pore, Harrington, Sealy and Trujillo. Kurt Morsink replaced Carlos after 60 minutes.
Ivan Trujillo had 2 goals and Carlos Marinelli added the other. And it sounds like Kevin Hartman made several saves. This makes 6 wins for KC in the preseason.
Tomorrow they play either Boca Juniors or Valez Sarsfield.
From the lineup it seems that Ryan Pore played in the midfield. But both he and Carlos were out there for 60 minutes together. I wonder they switched off who was A-mid and who dropped back to help Zavagnin. Either way it looks like Pore has done what Jewsbury did last season: make Curt Onalfo find a spot on the field for him.
Great to see Scott Sealy back out there. He hadn’t played since the Friday win over Deportivo Moròn. Of course, great to see new addition Ivan Trujillo scoring goals for us. That makes 4 goals in 4 starts.
There are now 9 players with more than 500 minutes. Ryan Pore leads all players with 12 appearances. Scott Sealy leads all players in minutes/appearance at 73.75/game. Second behind Sealy is Paulo Troyano at 57.5/game but he has only 4 appearances. There are 17 players with 45 or more minutes per appearance.
