Kansas City Wizards
Today the Wizards announced that KC will play Guatemalan perennial power Club Social y Deportivo Municipal (CSD Municipal). The game won’t be in KC or Guatemala, rather it will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the University of New Mexico football stadium. The game will be known as the New Mexico Cup. Much like the Saturn Cup that happens in preseason, I expect there will be different teams each season.
It is good that the Wizards are playing, even in exhibition, an international match. The game will take place on May 31st at 8pm Central Time. It is in between the final two games of KC’s 6 game road road trip. No indication if there will be any TV or Radio for the game.

Kansas City Brass
The Brass take on the Springfield Demize in PDL Midwest play tonight. KC are 1-0-2 (WDL) with a -1 goal differential. Springfield hold up the table starting off the season at 0-0-2 and have given up 9 goals while scoring none(including a 0-7 loss to Des Moines). The game doubles as a USOC Qualifer however the Brass are a long shot per these qualifying scenarios.
US Open Cup
The fansite USOpenCup.com has reported that USSF has revealed the 2008 USOC format. US Soccer still needs to make an official announcement. It is basically the same as 2007. MLS sides will enter in Round 3. KC will get their shot to be one of the final 8 MLS sides on June 4th when they host the winner of LA/Colorado match.
